Hero background

The Hero background can use the site's default image or a provider selected with PUBLIC_HERO_IMAGE_PROVIDER: Unsplash or Lorem Picsum. The active image's source and photographer are shown in the Hero settings popover; production allows at most one change per minute. Copyright and usage terms follow the provider and original author.

Article covers are generated with AI tools for on-site presentation. Remote random article covers are currently disabled, so loading the article list does not request an additional image service.
